Riding Lessons On A Film Horse

Located an easy 45 minute drive from Auckland's CBD, HORSESONFILM can offer private and professional one-on-one horse riding lessons on a proven film horse.

Rascal is a 14.3hh Quarter Horse gelding with many hours of on-set film and television appearances.

Rascal's major credits include Narnia:  Prince Caspian, Legend Of The Seeker:  Season One, Spartacus:  Blood and Sand, Legend Of The Seeker:  Season Two and most recently, Avalon High.

These lessons will be conducted in the safety of an Olympic sized dressage arena are available at NZD$60.00 for a 45 minute lesson.  Includes instruction and use of horse.

These lessons are ideal for individuals wanting to improve their general horsemanship skills or to prepare for riding a horse on screen.

By arrangement, for individuals with riding experience and who are wanting to take their riding and horsemanship skills that one step further... we can extend these lessons to riding at Woodhill Forest, West Auckland.

Woodhill Forest is a truly wonderous environment offering occasional glimpses of wild deer, vast treelined pathways, narrow mountainous sandy tracks and many varieties of New Zealand native flora and fauna.
This ever changing terrain will challenge riders abilities.

Individuals must have at least one lesson in the arena to allow us to assess your riding ability before we will agree to extending these lessons to Woodhill Forest.

As safety is paramount, we do ask that all individuals partaking in any of these lessons wear appropriate riding footwear, gumboots are not allowed and an approved safety riding helmet must be worn. We can provide a safety helmet if required.
